Circle of Parents
Circle of Parents is a set of beliefs and an approach to strengthen and empower families and communities so that they can foster the optimal development of children, youth, and adult family members.
Locally, Child Care Resource & Referral has been the sponsor of Circle of Parents since 1978. A parent support group with regular weekly meetings is available to help parents improve their parenting skills. The group offers information and support to parents as they learn new child-rearing techniques. During meetings, parents share the difficulties and successes they have raising their children. A parent group leader is available to facilitate meetings. A video library of books, parenting materials, and handouts is available to those attending.
Circle of Parents meetings are held Tuesday evenings from 6:30pm-8:00pm. There is no cost to attend. Child care is provided during the meeting. Call 507-287-2020 for additional information.
