CCR&R program outcomes

CCR&R program outcomes show we are ensuring positive beginnings for all young children and their families.

  • In the Fall of 2007, 32% of the 394 children starting Head Start tested as kindergarten-ready. By the end of the school year in May 2008, 82% of the children were kindergarten-ready.
  • Child Care Resource and Referral administers grant programs for child care providers. For the fiscal year 2007-2008, the children being cared for by 234 providers benefited from the resources we granted to those providers.
  • Our most recent Olmsted County Community Services Planning, Evaluation and Contract Management Unit report shows 344 of the 345 families served by Crisis Nursery in 2006, had no maltreatment determinations six months after the services were used.
  • In the Fall of 2006, 48% of the 93 children in our School Readiness program, were considered kindergarten-ready. In May 2007, 80% of the children were ready to start kindergarten.
